Acting speaker of the national assembly Tatenda Mavetere kicked out firebrand Norton MP Temba Mliswa during the debate on the controversial Patriotic Bill after he rekindled the emotive Gukurahundi matter. Mliswa had questioned how the government was to deal with victims of the sensitive massacre that claimed over 20 000 people in Matebeland region most of whom were supporters of the Zapu party led by the late Vice President Joshua Nkomo. The outspoken legislator had said those who perpetrated Gukurahundi-mostly from Zanu PF and are now in government were not patriotic.
