The two-day summit, titled "People You Can Invest In," will highlight opportunities across key sectors like mining, infrastructure, agriculture, and technology. Zimbabwean Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube and ZIDA CEO Tafadzwa Chinamo will lead the event, slated for May 2-3 at the Radisson Hotel near Johannesburg.
"This summit is about connecting global investors with the exciting possibilities that Zimbabwe offers," stated Mr. Chinamo. "We're ready to answer questions and demonstrate why our nation is a prime investment destination."
The invitation-only summit has drawn interest from regional and international investors, as well as multinational corporations and diplomatic trade missions. Speakers include African Development Bank President Akinwumi Adesina and SADC Executive Secretary Elias Magosi, who will address opportunities in specific sectors.
Zimbabwe boasts significant natural resources, and its government has actively courted investors under its "Second Republic" initiative. ZIDA, the official investment agency, offers incentives and emphasizes its commitment to creating a secure investment environment.
