"The road wasn't paved with ease," acknowledged club chairman Munyaradzi Mavhima. "Securing funding for participation and even basic necessities like water and lunch in Maseru proved challenging." With limited training facilities, the NABA team persevered, fueled by their passion for the sport and dedication to the club.

Their resilience paid off, resulting in a silver medal and the opportunity to compete on the continental stage. However, reaching their full potential in Egypt necessitates further support. "The African Club Championships will be even tougher," explained Mavhima. "We urgently need financial partners to make this trip a success."

NABA's achievement reflects a broader upswing in Zimbabwean volleyball. Two teams secured top four positions in this regional tournament, and the national team qualified for the All-Africa Games. This growing momentum presents valuable opportunities for knowledge sharing and growth, benefiting both Zimbabwean volleyball and the wider region.

Beyond competition, NABA champions empowering young athletes and fostering healthy lifestyles. "Participating in Egypt can inspire our youth to pursue volleyball further and elevate their sporting careers," enthused Mavhima. He highlights the positive impact of sports in keeping young people away from substance abuse and promoting overall well-being.

NABA now seeks support from the corporate world and sports enthusiasts to realize their Egyptian dreams. "We believe in our potential and the value we bring," stated Mavhima. "Synergies through partnerships are crucial to achieve our goals and showcase Zimbabwean talent on the international stage."

This story highlights NABA's remarkable achievement against adversity and their call for support to continue their journey. It emphasizes the positive impact of volleyball on athletes and the potential for further growth in Zimbabwean sports with wider support.
